
DENNIS ENGERER, PT
Dennis is a graduate of Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan. His experiences include Director of Physical Therapy at Wayne County General Hospital, Director of Physical Therapy at Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital, and he has been Director of Northville Physical Rehabilitation since 1985. Clinical strength is with emphasis on Orthopaedic Rehabilitation utilizing a wide variety of manual techniques, neuromuscular stimulation and biofeedback. Dennis resides in Northville with his wife and three sons.
DEREK ORNEKIAN, DPT
(CLINICAL MANAGER)
Derek received his Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science/Kinesiology from Michigan State University in 2003 and his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Grand Valley State University in 2007. He has worked exclusively in an orthopedic outpatient setting, seeing a wide variety of diagnoses, and has a special interest in return to sport rehabilitation. Derek has taken several continuing education courses, including manual therapy and Pilates. He lives in Northville with his wife and two daughters.

Ateeq Rahman is a doctor of physical therapy licensed in MI, graduated with DPT from U of M. Ateeq is American board certified & recertified orthopedic physical therapy specialist (ABPTS/ APTA), fellow in American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists (AAOMPT), certified in Spinal Manipulative Therapy, and certified in Dry Needling for treatment/ management of trigger points & other orthopedic/musculoskeletal problems. Ateeq has also completed post professional education & training courses in Manipulative Therapy for Extremities, and Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM). Ateeq has presented peer reviewed reports at APTA state chapters’ conferences; and has taught continuing education courses to clinicians. In addition to extensive & advanced education and training in orthopedic manual & manipulative therapy, Ateeq has extensive clinical experience in this specialty.

DANIELLE E. GILL, PT, DPT
( Doctorate in Physical Therapy)
Danielle received her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Michigan State University in 2015 and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia in 2018. She has worked extensively in the outpatient pediatric setting since her graduation and has now broadened her scope of practice in the adult outpatient orthopedic setting. She comes to Northville Physical Rehabilitation to assist in the development and expansion of pediatric physical therapy for Northville and the surrounding communities. Danielle also has experience in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in the care and development of our community’s smallest patients. Danielle has taken several continuing education courses in General Movement Assessment for infants as well as in progressing patients with torticollis, gross motor delay, and other orthopedic related diagnoses.
She is also a certified car seat technician. Danielle is experienced in treating patients with gross motor delay, balance deficits, torticollis, autism, neurological/genetic syndromes and diagnoses, and orthopedic related diagnoses. Danielle resides in South Lyon with her family.

SHWETA GIRDHAR, PT
(PELVIC FLOOR THERAPIST)
Shweta Girdhar is a licensed Physical Therapist in Michigan since 2004, with a degree from Kurukshetra University, India (2001). Passionate about women’s health, she pursued advanced training in pelvic floor therapy through the Herman and Wallace Institute, BCIA, and the Upledger Institute. Shweta specializes in treating pelvic floor dysfunctions in men, women, and children, integrating techniques like Muscle Energy Work, Craniosacral Therapy, Feldenkrais, MBSR, and energy work. She collaborates with midwives, doulas, and trauma healers to support holistic healing. Based in Northville with her husband and two children, she enjoys reading, hiking, and writing.

EMANUEL TRIFAN, PT, OMPT
Emanuel Trifan is a licensed physical therapist with over a decade of experience in the outpatient orthopedic setting. He earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Wayne State University in 2014 and has since developed a strong focus in post-operative rehabilitation, working closely with patients to restore function and mobility safely and effectively.
In 2023, Emanuel completed a post-graduate certification in Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy (OMPT) from Oakland University. This advanced training deepened his expertise in hands-on manual therapy techniques and evidence-based exercise prescription, with a strong emphasis on minimizing pain and avoiding flare-ups throughout the rehabilitation process.
Known for his practical, patient-centered approach, Emanuel is dedicated to helping individuals regain confidence in movement and return to the activities they love. Outside of the clinic, he enjoys weight lifting and spending time with his dog.

MARISA LASKOWSKI, DPT
Marisa graduated from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan, with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2008. She has worked exclusively in outpatient orthopedic facilities since her graduation. Marisa has taken several continuing education courses in Kinesio taping and muscle energy. She is very experienced in treating a variety of patients with spinal dysfunctions, sports-related injuries, balance impairments, and post-surgical limitations. Marisa resides in Northville with her husband and spoiled canine, Hemi.
CHRISTINE M. YE, PTA
Christine graduated with an Applied Science degree from the Physical Therapist Assistant program at Henry Ford College. She obtained her licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant and has worked mainly in outpatient clinics with experience in orthopedic conditions and soft-tissue bodywork, including massage.
ISABELLE SHOUP, PTA
A proud graduate of Washtenaw Community College’s Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program, Isabelle has been working in the field for over four years. Based in Northville, Isabelle brings hands-on experience in both pediatric care and outpatient orthopedics, with a strong passion for sports medicine and helping patients return to the activities they love. Known for a caring, patient-focused approach, Isabelle thrives on building meaningful connections with clients and supporting their recovery goals. Outside of work, Isabelle enjoys spending time with friends and family, as well as relaxing with a bit of shopping on the weekends.
Andrea Peiffer
Andrea has been an occupational therapist since 2012. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Michigan State University and went on to receive her Master’s in Occupational Therapy from Baker College for Graduate Studies. Her experience includes pediatric and orthopedic conditions, as well as neurological conditions, such as stroke, Parkinson’s Disease, spinal cord injury (SCI), traumatic brain injury (TBI), among others.
