LSVT BIG & LOUD Therapy

LSVT LOUD is a specific type of therapy designed for individuals with Parkinson’s disease. It stands for Lee Silverman Voice Treatment LOUD. LSVT LOUD is an intensive voice treatment program that focuses on improving vocal loudness, speech intelligibility, and facial expression in individuals with Parkinson’s disease and other neurological conditions.

Parkinson’s disease is a neurodegenerative disorder that affects movement and can also impact speech and voice. LSVT LOUD is one of the therapies that aims to address some of the speech and voice difficulties that can arise in Parkinson’s patients. It involves a series of exercises and techniques designed to strengthen the voice and improve communication abilities. LSVT LOUD works to recalibrate the patient’s perception of their own voice so they can use a stronger voice at a more normal speaking volume.
